Sweet Nothing

I've recently found myself a guilty pleasure. I am one of those girls that just likes Indie and everything related to the genre. Rockbands, lovely majestic sounds and just good music. I normally avoid anything that has to do with electronic beats (I have to make an exception for New Wave and Ellie Goulding) but that new song by Calvin Harris, damnit, I'm hooked!

Sweet Nothing is one of mister Harris' most recent creations and I have to admit it, it's gonna be a floorfiller. He asked the lovely Florence Welch (I love her) to sing on this track and she fits the song perfectly.

And the video?! My god, I'm just obsessed with the styling. The masculinity, the performance in the club, ... . Ah, she's just AMAZING.

This song has been on repeat non-stop so I crown Sweet Nothing as track of the week.

Middle Of The Bed

I sleep in the middle of the bed ...

I went to see the lovely Lucy Rose yesterday, a great singer/songwriter you might know from her collaborations with Bombay Bicycle Club. The singer recently released her debut album, Like I Used To, and lets just say that it's one of the albums of 2012.
I headed to Brussels last night and went en route to the Botanique. Lucy was to perform in the Witloof bar, a small and cosy venue. Being really excited about seeing her for the first time, I expected a lot from her. But she just blew me away. Opening with 'First', it just made you feel emotional right from the beginning. Following with 'Red Face', 'Place', 'Middle Of The Bed', 'Bikes', 'Don't You Worry' and many other songs. We were surprised that she played an exclusive b-side for the re-release of 'Middle Of The Bed', which she performed under pressure by the crowd. She did play a long set, considering she only has one album.

Next to Lucy, the crowd was really amazing. Every time I go to a gig in Belgium, it seems that I am one of the few people that just wants to sing out loud and jump around. It's not even normal how reserved we Belgians are. But Lucy received a lot of positive feedback from the crowd and I do hope that she considered it as a great ending of her European tour.

After the gig, we all had the opportunity to meet Lucy. So I grabbed her album, since it's not available in our little country called Belgium, and bought some tea. Yup, a genuine can of tea with Lucy's face on it. I just adore it! She was kind enough to sign the album and ticket. I do hope I'll see her again soon. She'll take the world in a minute!

And what was I wearing? Zara shirt, H&M skinny jeans, New Look creepers and Asos Beanie.

Love, T.

Eat It Up, It's Good For You

First blogpost! I've tried to blog several times but seemed to fail every single time. This blog is mainly going to be about the clothes I like, the music I play and other bits and bobs. More posts and information expected soon.
